Project 365

So, a friend from long ago and far away in the land of Japanese camp, who is now in Japan, has alerted me to something called Project 365, wherein you take a photo a day, sort of as a challenge, sort of as an intentional way of documenting your life not just through the major highlights of your year, but also in the little things that constitute our lives day to day: http://photojojo.com/content/tutorials/project-365-take-a-photo-a-day/
Something about this appeals to me, and so I have decided to try it. I will of course continue to post the majority of my photos to flickr, but I will try to put up a photo here each day, as I can't always find the time to make a real post. I have never succeeded at the do-something-every-day thing, so I don't know how well this will work, but I will try. I will also try to do a post later tonight about how I've been in general here, having had a number recently on just my travels. That is, I will do so after I write a creative essay for my Ferrarese Literature class and finally get to talk to my parents. But in the meantime, I leave you with some very creamy hazelnut and dark chocolate gelato enjoyed in the cool but sunny light of the piazza.
